How to check the status of your Korean Visa Application Online

Applying for Korean visa is never easy. Same with other visa application, applying for Korean visa requires time, effort, patience and prayers. Yes, I think most visa applicants are actually praying for the approval of their visas. And while waiting for the results from the travel agency could be nerve-wracking, there is actually a way to somehow ease the yearning.

Just like me, I know most applicants are excited to know whether their visa application has been approved or not. Aside from waiting for the release of visa, you may also check the status of your application online. Yes, it’s possible! All you have to do is follow the steps below:

• Step 1 – Go to the Korea Visa Portal. Click ENGLISH on the upper right of the page to change the language.

• Step 2 – Choose Check Application Status and click Check Application Status & Print

• Step 3 – Tick Diplomatic Office and select Passport No. from the drop-down option.

• Step 4 – Enter your Passport No., Name in English (LAST NAME first, then FIRST NAME. All in CAPITAL LETTERS) and Date of Birth.

• Step 5 – Click Search. Then, your application status will be shown.

The Application Status will show Application Received once the application has been successfully submitted.

Once the Application Status shows Approved, it means your visa application will be granted. Yay!

But once your application gets denied, it will show in the Application Status as Denied. It will also show the reason why your application got denied.

As easy as that, you don’t have to wait until your visa gets released to find out if you will be granted a Korean Visa or not.
